The Taiwan Chamber of Commerce in Australia (TCCA) was founded in February 1998. The Association was registered with the NSW Government on February 5, 1998 with registration number Y2745018. The association aims to promote social and cultural exchanges in the Australian region; to enhance mutual understanding and economic development. Enhance the international status of Taiwanese heritage people in business within Australia; and promote the protection of the rights and interests of Taiwanese heritage people in business within Australia. Promote the cooperation between Australian and Taiwanese businesspeople; seek joint industry and commerce development, hence developing international markets. To strengthen the ties between Australian Taiwanese businesses and the Australian business community and exchange experience in business operation and technology. Provide Australian and Taiwanese heritage people in business with various business and financial information, strengthening regional economic and trade cooperation. To promote the connection between Taiwanese heritage people in business within Australia and Taiwanese heritage people in business worldwide.

澳洲臺灣商會(Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Australia簡稱TCCA)草創於1998年二月，創會宗旨是促進澳州區域内的社會文化交流；以增進共同了解與經濟發展。提升澳洲臺商之國際地位；並促進澳州對臺商權益之保障。促進澳洲臺商之合作；共謀發展工商業及開拓國際市場。加強澳洲臺商與澳洲工商界之聯繫，並交換工商管理與學術科技之經驗。提供澳洲臺商各種工商及財經資訊，進而強化區域性經貿合作關係。促進澳洲臺商與世界臺商間之聯繫。

創建初期，除了新南威爾斯州會員以外，還包含了幾位外州之成員。因此，商會的名稱即取名為“澳洲臺灣商會”，但其實質運作仍以大雪梨地區爲主。稍後，墨爾本以及布里斯本等其他位於紐澳之城市已相繼成立臺灣商會，到目前爲止包含雪梨之澳洲臺灣商會在内，總共已經有六個地區會員體在積極運作當中。也因此在世界臺灣商會聯合總會之框架下，成立一大洋洲臺灣商會聯合總會（簡稱TCCO），其總會長一職由大洋洲理監事會投票選出一人擔任，一年一任；基本上是由各地區分會輪流推出總會長人選，經大會確認後為之。

位於雪梨之澳洲臺灣商會到2022年二月已步入第二十五個年頭。會長人選的產生是先在年度的會員大會選出新一屆的理監事會成員，之後再由當選的理事推選出數位候選人；角逐新任會長一職。監事長亦由新當選的五位監事裏選出一人擔任。到第十一屆為止，一任為一年。但於2009年第十一屆會員大會時，已通過了章程修改，以後一任已經改爲兩年。

目前會員人數超過二百多位，主要分成公司會員及個人會員。商會沒有固定的會所，主要商會會議或舉辦活動的場所都透過會員的贊助提供，或在其他營業場所付費舉辦。會員的聯繫依照章程都以電子書信或電話爲主，之後；則以不定期刊物發送各會員及友會閲覽。

雪梨澳洲臺灣商會一年有ニ次與大洋洲各會員體聚會的機會, 此外；一年有一次的機會派遣代表到世界臺灣商會聯合總會的總會長主辦國及囘臺北參加世界臺灣商會聯合總會的年度大會。因此，這種體制内的定期互動，很大程度強化了本商會個人會員及公司會員與其他城市和他洲臺商的見面的機會，進而達到會員之間的資訊交流。

澳洲臺灣商會在既有的會員互動基礎上，已陸續開展青年創業家以及本地台籍專業人仕的接觸工作。自2009年初起，商會開始舉辦青年企業領袖圓桌論壇。它已經提供資深會員與青年會員經驗交流及意見交換的平臺，也成爲商會增添新血的重要途徑之
